Description
Rehabilitation of a 13- story concrete structure that was originally built in 1976 as a 200 unit senior housing project. The renovation included a major upgrade to the 1st floor lobby and the attached single story community building. The scope also included new exterior skin, new balcony railings, new exterior windows, all new interiors, and complete replacement of electrical and plumbing fixtures. The building received significant seismic upgrades through the addition of fiber reinforced polymer systems on all levels. Each phase began with major remediation of hazardous materials which had to be 100% contained and kept out of the occupied units above and below the work area.
